Brent Amaker and Rodeo is an American Country and West band from Seattle, Washington which consists of Brent Amaker, Little Dancer, Sugar McGuinn, Ben Strehle, and Bryan Crawford.

Brent Amaker and Rodeo were formed in Seattle, Washington, in 2005. The band's image reminded influential country musician Johnny Cash, 'The Man in Black', as they dressed head-to-toe in black with Stetson's hats and boots matching cowboy. They were billed as being influenced by Devo rock art players and glam rock David Bowie.
Much emphasis is put into the band's image as evidenced by the collection of photos and music videos performed by bands, fans, as well as photographers and videographers. Rodeo has a cinematic quality and is often placed in the context of western spaghetti films made by Sergio Leone and Ennio Morricone.
Their concerts often feature a dancing girl from a local burlesque troupe and a phenomenon known simply as the "Whiskey Baptism" in which Amaker welcomes new fans to the "Rodeo Church" by pouring liquor into their mouths.
Recently, they have gained notoriety from their "Pocket Calculator" cover by the German electro pioneer Kraftwerk.
They also performed in the indie slasher movie "Punch" directed by Jay Cynik. Cynik also wrote a comic book based on the band's exploits in a tour called "Mescal de la Muerte." Illustrated by Portland, Oregon artist, Simon Young, graphic adult novels were included in the 2010 release "Please Stand By."
The founding member of The Rodeo, Sugar McGuinn died in a motorcycle accident on March 26, 2016. Sugar is the original bass player for Rodeo and plays with the project until 2014. The new Jordan Gomes bassist is the latest addition to this project.
