Cow , also titled Just Stwpd Cowz Txt N Drive , is a 30 minute public service announcement film directed by Peter Watkins-Hughes with the help of Gwent Police and Tredegar Comprehensive School. The August 2008 film is a joint production by Gwent Police and Tred Films, with special effects by Zipline Creative Limited. The film features original music by Stuart Fox, a composer and sound designer from Gloucester UK. The previous film, "Lucky Luke," is meant to warn of the dangers of rising excitement; "Cow" is meant to be a kind of continued.
The film, using local drama students as actors, tells the story of Cassie "Cow" Cowan 17-year-old (Jenny Davies), who sent text messages and drives and had a car accident; his friends Emm and Jules (Amy Ingram and Laura Quantick) are in the vehicle with him. Four people died as a result of Cassie's actions. Police intend to have the film aired in British schools.
The police agency said it took "several thousand pounds" to make the film. 300 drama students auditioned for filming.
A full PSA is displayed to students in the UK. In 2009 PSA has not aired on television stations in the United States. In 2010 a 30-second version that was changed from public service announcements will begin airing during certain hours on 13 television stations in the center and northern part of South Carolina.

Story
Cassie "Cow" Cowan, Emma "Emm" Williams, and Jules O'Shea, three teenage friends working at the same hardware store, agreed to leave early to entertain Jules, who threw up on duty after finding that she was pregnant. On the way home, Cassie's text while driving and his Ford KA 2002 car hovered on the road and collided with the others. Emma and Jules were killed along with drivers from other cars such as the 2003 Ford Taurus and 2000 Ford Taurus which were hits by Cassie.
The rest of the film depicts the consequences and consequences of the accident. The police delivered the news to the grieving relatives. Cassie herself almost died in the hospital but was revived. When a local newspaper reported that he experienced shortness of breath just before the accident, his parents were ostracized by the local community (he was stopped by police for speeding, but passed the test). Jules's girlfriend, Morgan, appears on television to express his sadness about the death of their unborn baby, though he has now been discarded due to pregnancy. Eventually, though her mother was persuaded, Cassie was sentenced to seven years in prison for causing death for dangerous driving from 2008 to May 13, 2015.

Reception
Public service announcement clips got worldwide attention, and the clip was received over a million times on YouTube on August 25, 2009. The video gained attention due to graphic content. The film was awarded in the video of the Top 5 Creative weekly advertising adverts. and became an internet hit worldwide overnight after being featured on The Today Show.
Donny Deutsch, an advertising executive, said, "I will show this to every child I know, and I salute the police department" and "I'm really going to appeal to the local stations: Run this, put this in the air. will help. "Mick Giannasi, Gwent police chief at the time, said," The messages contained in the film are as relevant to the people in Tennessee as to the people of Tredegar. " He also said, "Sending SMS and driving can have tragic consequences, and the more movies are seen, the better."
