Warren P. "Clip" Smith (April 22, 1941 - August 21, 2004) is a Media Personality and Buffalo journalist, New York. Smith was a sports reporter at WKBW-TV since 1971 until he was dismissed in December 1988, and then returned to radio in Buffalo at WGR and WBEN (AM) as conservative talk show and commentator. He was a play-by-play announcer for the University at the Buffalo Bulls in the mid-1980s. She is remembered for the "Clipley's Believe It or Do not" segment and the words of the words and one sentence she's doing in her broadcast. He was killed at the age of 63 in a car accident in Niagara County, New York. At the time of his death, Smith was a member of the Lockport Education Council and has been a three-time candidate for the mayor of Lockport, New York. In May 2005, Rep. Thomas M. Reynolds of New York paid tribute to Smith, noting that the "Clipper" earned his reputation for "his strong opinions, and his quick and false speech."
