San Bernardino Community Hospital (CHSB) is a 343-bed non-profit hospital in San Bernardino, California, USA. It is currently affiliated with Dignity Health, but remains a non-denominational community hospital. The hospital is one of the largest companies in the region, with more than 1,350 employees, and primarily serving the areas of San Bernardino, Rialto, Colton, Highland and Fontana.

History
Timeline of San Bernardino Community Hospital
1909: Henry William Mills and Ralph E. Swing bought the place an adobe saloon on 4th St. and Arrowhead Avenue, and began construction of a two-story hospital building.
1910: 42-place Ramona Hospital opens.
1932: The bank took over Ramona Hospital operations due to financial losses suffered during the Great Depression. 16 Doctors, Dentists, and lay people form the Ramona Hospital Association, donating more than $ 40,000 to buy the hospital back from the bank.
1938: The Ramona Hospital Association reorganized into a non-profit charity under the new name - "San Bernardino Community Hospital".
1953: San Bernardino Community Hospital buys property on the current 17th and Western Avenue locations.
1954: Entertainer Sammy Davis Jr. was taken to San Bernardino Community Hospital after being injured in a car accident. Frederick H. Hull was able to save sight in his right eye.
1958: Construction completed new hospital facilities on 17th St and Western Avenue. It is the first air-conditioned hospital in the city, with 133 beds, 30 bassinet, and 275 employees.
1958: Sammy Davis Jr. held a star-studded fundraiser at the Swing Auditorium, featuring Judy Garland, Tina Louise, Shirley MacLaine, Diane Carroll, and many others. The event, attended by more than 8,000 people, garnered more than $ 31,048 for new hospital furnishings.
1961: The main expansion program adds 95 beds, conference rooms, auditoriums, enlarged emergency facilities, new obstetric delivery areas, and service buildings.
1964-1971: Various hospital expansions including new laboratories, new lobby and business offices, 125 additional bed care facilities, a new physical therapy building, expanded wings, intensive care renovations and coronary care wings, and expansion of radiology, cardiopulmonary, and central supply. In 1971, the total number of beds increased to 322.
1989: The five-storey patient care tower is open. The tower is named for Monida B. Cummings, the daughter of famous weapon designer John Moses Browning. Cummings donated more than $ 1 Million for the construction of new towers.
1993: The 60-place Rehabilitation Hospital Robert H. Ballard opens.
1996: 57,000 square feet (5,300m 2 ) The Medical Office Building is opened. The new building is connected to the hospital by a bridge that runs Drive Medical Center.
1998: Affiliated with Catholic Healthcare West
2007: San Bernardino Community Hospital is named as the 61st Infant Friendly Hospital in the United States.
2008: Community Community Hospital celebrates 50 years, and over 1 million hours, volunteer service.
2009: San Bernardino Community Hospital is named by HealthGrades as one of 10% hospitals for Maternity Care, with a five star rating.
2010: San Bernardino Community Hospital celebrates 100 years of service to the community. Currently, more than 13,000 patients are hospitalized each year, and more than 40,000 are admitted to the Emergency Department.
2012: Western Catholic health renamed Dignity Health
