The 2014 Mountain Provincial Bus accident is a bus accident that occurred when the Trans Florida bus crashed off the road at Sitio Paggang, Talubin, Bontoc, the Mountain Province of the Philippines. The accident occurred on February 7, 2014. Fourteen people were killed and more than 32 were injured. Comedian Tado and two other artists died in this accident.

Accident

The accident occurred in Barangay Talubin, Bontoc, Gunung Province at around 7:20 am. The bus was traveling in the Mountain Province when it fell to a depth of 100 to 120 meters from the mountain.

14 people were killed and 32 wounded. Two foreigners, a Dutchman and a Canadian were among the victims. Gerard Baja's visual artist, musician David Sicam, and comedian Tado were also killed in the crash. Those suffering from injuries were taken to the Bontoc General Hospital. The driver was among the injured while the bus conductor was killed.

Investigation

Superintendent Mountain's senior police chief, Oliver Emmodias, said mechanical problems and defects in the vehicle could be the cause of the accident.

Sanctions

The Land Transport Franchise Control Agency (LFTRB) imposes a 30-day preventive suspension to the GV Florida Transport 186 franchise unit on February 10, 2014.

Warning

On July 6, 2014, a work of art called "Every Bus Bus Full of Dreamers" was painted in front of the Sampaloc GV Florida Transport terminal.
