Fairy Gilpin (born Fairham Kay Oldham , May 27, 1961) is an American actress. Most famous for describing Roz Doyle in the US television series "Frasier", Gilpin is also known for portraying Kim Keeler in the ABC Family television drama Make It or Break It .

Gilpin was born in Waco, Texas, as the Oldham Fairy, the daughter of James Franklin Oldham and his wife, Sandra Jo Hauck. Her parents divorced and her mother remarried, with Allen W Gilpin Jr., in 1969. The fairy then took her stepfather's family name.
Gilpin grew up in Dallas, where his family encouraged his acting skills. After studying at the Dallas Theater Center, he pursued acting at the University of Texas at Austin and the British-American Academy in London. He started using the name "Fairy Gilpin" after becoming a professional actress.
His biological father, Jim, became a Philadelphia weather expert and radio disc jockey, using Jim O'Brien's stage name. He died in a skydiving accident on September 25, 1983.

Gilpin appeared on the TV series Cheers, playing Holly Matheson in the 21st episode of the 11th season.
From 1993 to 2004, Gilpin played Roz Doyle on the television series Frasier, a Cheers spin-off, starring Kelsey Grammer as Frasier Crane, the role he played Cheers since 1984. Along with the lead character, Gilpin won the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by Ensemble in a Comedy Series in 2000.
In 2009, Gilpin appeared in the ABC Family drama Make It or Break It , where he received the Gracie Award in the category of "Extraordinary Girl Actor in the Supportive Role in Drama Serial" category.
Gilpin and Jane Leeves's co-star Jane Leeves runs a production company, "City of Bristol" (named after the cockney rhyme slang), whose projects include a Fox network pilot titled Divine Minister , a an American remake of the British sitcom The Vicar of Dibley , with Kirstie Alley (the other Cheers unusual) in the lead role. However, the pilot was not picked up by the network.
Gilpin is a sound artist for the character Jane Proudfoot in Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within . He also cast Desiree on Nickelodeon's animated television series Danny Phantom, Volcana on Superman: The Animated Series and Justice League, Hecate in , Hercules: The Animated Series , and Kate Corrigan in the animated movie Hellboy . Gilpin also did voice work for several ads of Wells Fargo and Johnsonville Meats TV.
Gilpin has appeared on the TV series Medium and Desperate Housewives . She has a supporting role on the Make It or Break It television series, and appears on Law & amp; Order and Law and Order: Criminal Intent . She starred alongside Teri Polo in the movie Lifetime For the Love of Children . In 2012, Gilpin guested with other supporters of Cheers , Ted Danson, at CSI: Crime Scene Investigation . He also has a small and recurring role in Men at Work on TBS as a editor of Full Steam magazine. In the second season of Scorpion, he was introduced as Katherine Cooper, superior in homeland security over the Scorpion team.
Personal life
Since his mother's death from leiomyosarcoma, Gilpin has led cancer research efforts through The Sarcoma Foundation of America (SFA). His sister, Patti Jo Wynne ( nÃÆ' à © e Oldham), was diagnosed with leiomyosarcoma in 2009, participating with SFA by advocating awareness of sarcoma through her own case. She once married the owner of Shannon Wynne's restaurant. Patti, Marc, and Gilpin late April, their half-brother with the marriage of both his mother, are also actors with their own credit. Some of them also have children: Sam, Spencer, Daisy, and Presley, making Elves an aunt.
Gilpin married the realist painter Christian Vincent on July 31, 1999 at Kelsey Grammer's home. The couple had twins, Stella Mae and Ava Pearl, who was born by a surrogate mother on May 7, 2004. She is godmother to Frasier co-star Jane Heeves's daughter Isabella, and Leeves is godmother to daughter Fairy Stella. Gilpin and Leeves also live near the ocean, next to each other, on the beach.
