The company was formerly known as the First Life Insurance Company in the United States , but renamed the Globe Life Insurance Company in New York on January 1, 2017. In 1981, as a United States, the company became a member of Torchmark Corporation, a parent company of financial services companies listed on the New York Stock Exchange. United American chartered the year as a result of their business spread across the United States. UA First wrote his first business in 1986.
For more than 20 consecutive years, First United American grabbed A (Superior) Financial Rating from A.M. Best Company (as of June 2014).
