AirDisaster.com (colloquially referred to as AD.com) is a website devoted to accidents and incidents on commercial aircraft. These include sound recordings, crash videos, reports and articles on a number of aircraft accidents. It also includes accident statistics by companies, aircraft models and years. This site was started in 1998 by Chris Kilroy. It was last updated on August 16, 2010.
The site is also used to host a forum with discussions on topics related to air travel that vary from fear of flying to famous disasters like TWA Flight 800 and the 11 September 2001 attacks.

Forum Collapse
On January 17, 2008, the server hosted the crash, and the owner, Chris Kilroy, stated on a temporary page on the site that he did not intend to reopen the forum section of the website. Instead of starting the forum again, users have been urged to take part of the Aviation Safety discussion forum at AirDisaster.com's brother Jetphotos.net site. The current forum link on AirDisaster.com points to the Jetphotos.net forum. As a result, the inclusion of new users has registered on Jetphotos.net, calling themselves the 'refugees' of AD.com.
In the days after the server crash, many short alternative forums were created by AirDisaster.com users, ending with the establishment of AirDisaster.info, online since February 1, 2008.
